Mumbai(date.4oct):-Uganda Airlines today announced the launch of its operations in India with the launch of its new direct service between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport. This service will start from October 7. This airline will operate three days a week between the two cities. The company will offer the direct service on its Airbus A330-800neo aircraft.
In this service, passengers will get the facility to travel in three classes. It will have 20 seats in business class, 28 seats in premium economy class and 210 seats in economy class. This is the first time in more than 50 years that India and Uganda will be connected by non-stop air service, marking such an exciting development in aviation relations between the two countries.
This route will expand Uganda Airlines’ service outside the African continent.
The addition of this new airline to the company’s rapidly expanding network will provide passengers with convenient opportunities to travel to South, West, Central and East Africa. The duration of this direct service will be about five and a half hours in one direction. This will provide unmatched facilities to the travelers of both the countries for business, meeting family and travelling.
Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Adedayo Olawuyi said, “We are very excited to launch this. This new addition to our network confirms Uganda Airlines’ expanding travel options for its passengers. Apart from providing convenience to passengers, we hope that this route will provide new impetus to the decade-long trade and commercial relationship between India and Uganda.”
Honorable Ambassador of Uganda H.E. Madhusudun Agarwal said, “Since 2017, I have worked tirelessly to realize the dream of a direct flight between Mumbai and Entebbe. I believe that direct air service between the two countries will boost trade, commerce and tourism. I am very excited to see my dream come true.”
